Zero Data Collection — No PHI Ever Leaves Your Device

All clinical calculations, document processing, and data analysis on ToolCrate.ai run entirely within your browser. No patient data, Protected Health Information (PHI), or personally identifiable information is ever collected, stored, or transmitted to any server.

What We Do NOT Collect

ToolCrate.ai is built on a strict local-first architecture. The following data is never collected, logged, or transmitted:

  • ✕Patient names, identifiers, or any Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • ✕Clinical values you enter into calculators (vitals, lab results, scores)
  • ✕Documents or PDF files you upload for processing
  • ✕Text you enter into AI-assisted writing tools
  • ✕Account information (there is no account system)
  • ✕Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data

Local-First Architecture

Every tool on ToolCrate.ai executes directly inside your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. This includes:

  • ✓All 50+ clinical calculators — computed entirely on your device
  • ✓PDF merge, split, and processing — no file is ever uploaded to our servers
  • ✓Image compression and conversion — processed in-browser
  • ✓CONSORT diagrams and APA tables — generated locally

Important: AI-assisted features (Academic Proofreader, PDF Summarizer, Data Insight) send text to the Google Gemini API to generate responses. Do not include patient identifiers or PHI in any text submitted to these AI tools. These features are intended for academic and research text only.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring

We use the following third-party services to monitor application performance and usage in aggregate. These services do not receive any clinical or patient data:

  • —Vercel Analytics — aggregate page view and performance metrics
  • —Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics to improve the platform
  • —Google AdSense — ad personalization based on browsing context, governed by Google's own Privacy Policy

Cookies & Local Storage

ToolCrate.ai uses browser local storage solely to preserve your in-session preferences (such as language selection). No cookies containing personal data or clinical information are set or transmitted to external servers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
