ToolCrate.ai operates on a strict no-logs, client-side processing basis. No user documents are ever uploaded to our servers. All file conversions, image processing, and document analysis occur entirely within your browser. Your files never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and confidentiality.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • • File contents or any processed data
  • • Personal information from documents
  • • Conversion history or usage patterns
  • • Any personally identifiable information (PII)

Data We May Collect

We use standard web analytics to improve our service:

  • • Anonymous usage statistics (page views, tool usage counts)
  • • Browser type and device information
  • • General geographic location (country level only)
  • • Technical error logs for debugging purposes

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify individual users.

How Client-Side Processing Works

When you use our tools, all processing happens in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are:

  • • Loaded directly into your browser's memory
  • • Processed using client-side libraries (pdf.js, jsPDF, etc.)
  • • Converted or edited entirely on your device
  • • Downloaded directly to your computer
  • • Automatically cleared from memory when you close the page

No server upload occurs at any stage. This approach guarantees that sensitive documents—medical records, research papers, legal files—remain completely private.

AI Features and Privacy

For AI-powered features like PDF Summarization, we extract text from your document client-side, then send only the extracted text (not the original file) to our secure Edge Function for analysis. The text is:

  • • Processed immediately and never stored
  • • Not used for training AI models
  • • Transmitted over encrypted connections
  • • Discarded immediately after generating the summary

Cookies and Tracking

ToolCrate.ai uses minimal cookies for essential functionality only. We may use Google Analytics or similar services for anonymous usage statistics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time without affecting tool functionality.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • • Supabase: For hosting Edge Functions (serverless API endpoints)
  • • CDN Services: For delivering JavaScript libraries (pdf.js, etc.)
  • • Google AdSense: For displaying advertisements (if applicable)

None of these services have access to your uploaded files or document contents.

Your Rights
